„Killed “by accident.”

Shooting at the car carrying Mahmoud Badran was deliberate, entirely unjustified and a direct result of military policy - Boys returning from night out at the pool become target of fatal shooting

Late night on Tuesday, 21 June 2016, soldiers shot and killed Mahmoud Badran, a 15-year-old from Beit Ur a-Tahta and wounded four of his friends. The shots were fired at a car with seven passengers inside, who were making their way back from a night out at a water park. The military initially announced the soldiers had “targeted terrorists who were throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at Israeli cars on Road 443”, but later changed its version and stated the boy had been “mistakenly” killed, and that the MPIU was >>>

Palestinian teen 'mistakenly' killed by Israeli soldier laid to rest - 15-year-old Mahmoud Raafat Badran was laid to rest in his village of Beit Ur al-Tahta near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Thursday.

Badran was shot dead by israeli forces around midnight on Wednesday, after spending the evening at a swimming pool in the village of Beit Sira west of Ramallah with 4 other Palestinian boys, who were celebrating the recent arrival from Qatar of friends who were to spend the summer in their hometown of Beit Ur al-Tahta. >>>

Pictures of Majd Lekhdour, 20 years old, a mother of an infant female called Batoul, she was on her way home yesterday afternoon eager to hold her little girl, but instead, the fascist Zionist occupation soldiers opened fire at her, showered her with more than 30 bullets

They killed her in her car and they fired more than a dozen bullets at her body , they claimed that she trying to run over the soldiers, but actually what happened was a car accident between 2 cars.

Happened yesterday morning in Al-Khalil Hebron city , West Bank.

Marwan Barghouti, A Palestinian Mandela Or Israel’s Worst Nightmare? - Imprisoned in Israel since 2002, Marwan Barghouti may be the only figure who could unite all Palestinians. Israel must decide if it's more risky to release him or keep him in jail. Barghouti offers a rare written exchange with Le Monde. - Piotr Smolar (2016-06-14)

One of the three men locked up in cell number 28 at the Hadarim prison loves reading. Whether it’s in Arabic, Hebrew or English, he devours history books, poetry collections and biographies of famous Israeli leaders. He wants to know the way they think.

Marwan Barghouti, 56, takes care of himself. He walks and runs. Once a week, he meets with one of his lawyers. Once every two weeks, his wife Fadwa visits and tells him about their four children. In 14 years, he's gotten to see them just a few times. A picture of his face painted or plastered on the walls of the West Bank reminds the children that their father has a special status. He is the hardened résistant, a symbol of the Palestinian national movement.

"My release is bound to happen, sooner or later,” says Marwan Barghouti, in a written interview with Le Monde. "Israel will have to release me, me and the others. During these last decades, it has already happened thanks to the exchange of prisoners or through political discussion.” >>>

The ten obstacles hindering Palestinian Reconciliation - Although the reconciliation agreement stipulated reforming the PLO to include all Palestinian factions, the conduct of the PLO leadership has usually obstructed the implementation of commitments related to reforming and rebuilding the organisation’s institutions - 12. 6. 2016 - Mohsen Mohammed Saleh

In May 2016, five years passed since the Palestinian reconciliation agreement was signed between the Fatah and Hamas movements, and other Palestinian factions. The agreement took three years of negotiations to conclude. But why does the project for reconciliation take such a long time without being implemented?! despite the dire need for it and the impasse this has caused the Palestinian national project to fall into?!

In practical terms, we have two rival partners that were “forced” to engage in reconciliation despite their sharp differences. There is a number of reasons and obstacles that have disrupted the reconciliation, with varying degrees of influence and importance, summarised as follows >>>

For Netanyahu, every peace initiative is an anti-Zionist plot - What kind of hope does the prime minister offer us when every attempt to bring about peace is rejected as a plot to destroy Israel? - Yossi Dahan

Less than a year ago, in a rare moment of honesty, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented his vision for Israeli citizens, in present and future tense. It happened during a meeting of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, which came together to mark the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. “These days there is talk about what would have happened if someone or other would have remained. This is not relevant… we will forever live by the sword.” From Netanyahu’s blood-soaked vision, as opposed to, say, Rabin’s vision of hope, we can tease out his worldview and political behavior. In fact, his remarks summarize his continual refusal to respond to every single initiative that attempts to bring about the end of the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians through negotiations. >>>

The roots of Israel's most racist law - Orly Noy - Israel’s most draconian laws may have been passed by the current right-wing government, but the stage was set long ago by the Israeli Left.

With a majority of 65 votes, the Knesset approved last week the extension of an order to prevent family reunification in Israel. Of Palestinian families, of course. Jews are welcome to continue and reunify as much as they please.

As always, the pretext for approving this draconian law, which deprives Palestinian citizens who fell in love with a Palestinian from the occupied territories (not to mention a Syrian, Lebanese, or Iranian citizen) from living with their loved one in their country, is security-based. >>>

Israeli settlers set fire to Palestinian agricultural lands near Nablus - Ma`an News Agency - "Israeli settlers set fire to dozens of dunams of Palestinian agricultural lands on Thursday afternoon near the Qablan junction south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank.Abd al-Khaliq Salih, a resident of the nearby al-Sawiya village told Ma`an that several settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Rachalim near the village set fire to dozens of dunams of farmlands in the al-Tulma area which is owned by people from al-Sawiya, and is located near Qablan junction. Palestine’s ‘prayer for rain’: How Israel uses water as a weapon of war - Ramzy Baroud - "Entire communities in the West Bank either have no access to water or have had their water supply reduced almost by half. This alarming development has been taking place for weeks, since Israel`s national water company, “Mekorot”, decided to cut off -- or significantly reduce -- its water supply to Jenin, Salfit and many villages around Nablus, among other regions." >>>
